Understand your analytics
Read your portfolio visits, traffic sources, time on page, and most-viewed photos — and what to do with them.
3 min read
Analytics tell you what’s working so you can do more of it. You don’t need to be a data person — a few numbers, read simply, will guide your portfolio.
Where to find it
Open the analytics view from your Dashboard. You’ll see:
- Visits + sources — how many people came and where from (search, social, direct, referrals).
- Average time on page — how long people actually stay.
- Top photos — your most-viewed images.
What to do with it
- Top photos → lead with them. If certain images pull attention, move them to the front of your portfolio.
- Sources → double down. If most visitors come from one place, invest more there — and make sure that channel links to your own site.
- Low time on page → tighten up. People leaving fast can mean too many images, slow loading, or a weak opening. Curate harder.
Tip
Check trends, not single days. One quiet afternoon means nothing; a steady direction over weeks is the signal worth acting on.
