Share a gallery with a client
Turn an album into a private client gallery with a secret link, an optional access code, and downloads you control.
4 min read
A client gallery is a private, beautiful way to hand over a shoot — separate from your public portfolio. You decide who gets in and whether they can download.
Make an album shareable
- Open the album in Dashboard → Albums.
- Set its access mode to Shared.
- This hides it from your portfolio and gives it a secret, unlisted link.
Add protection (optional)
- Access code — generate a reusable code so only people with it can unlock the gallery. The link alone won’t open it.
- Lock screen — visitors see a simple unlock screen; repeated wrong attempts are rate-limited to stop guessing.
Control downloads
- Turn the downloads toggle on to let clients download hi-res originals.
- Turn it off for browse-only galleries (for proofs or previews).
Send it
- Copy the share link, or use the built-in Email the link option.
- Share the access code separately if you set one.
Tips
- Give paying clients clean files. Keep watermarks for public previews, not the gallery they paid for.
- Set expectations on how long it stays up. See the guide on how long to keep galleries online.
